Breakfast. This beautiful harbor
setting offers the perfect
launch to a Saturday morning,
while helping provide needed
equipment for boater safety that
protects children and adults.
The Orange County Sheriffs
department has been invited to
talk to the kids and Santa
Monica Dock-walkers will hand
out free goodies canvas bags.
The bags include pads for oil
spills, coupons, maps, etc. In
addition, The Alamitos US Sail
and Power Squadron will be there
to do FREE Vessel Safety Check
for anyone who wants them.

Park at the end of Edinger (past

Concert and Entertainment.
Gallaghers Pub and Grill in
Huntington Beach will be holding
a benefit concert for Natalie
Kotsch, founder of the HB Surf
Museum, and Renee Benson. Both
women are local residents of the
Huntington Beach who are
currently undergoing expensive
treatments for cancer. The
benefit will be hosted by local
lsurf legend Bud Llamas, a long
standing resident of Huntington
Beach and winner of many US Open
surf competitions. The Orange
County surf band, Inhale, will
be playing all night. Raffle
prizes have been donated from
many of the local businesses
including a grand prize surf
board from Bud Llamas himself.
All proceeds will go towards the
medical bills for Natalie Kotsch
and Renee Benson. Time: 9 p.m.

cruiser club. Anyone who wants,
just shows up at Adams Avenue
Donuts parking lot, next to

Shipley Nature Center
- Restoration Days. The Friends of Shipley Nature Center will be planting, weeding and cleaning up, and they need your assistance. On the first Saturday of the month, the public can tour Shipley Nature Center at 11 a.m., in addition to the clean up activities that begin at 9 a.m. and go till noon. May 30, 2009 Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Art Exhibit - Milford Zornes, N.A.,
American Artist. Honoring the works of one of America's esteemed artists,
oil paintings that have never been exhibited until now are featured in the
rare collection of art by Zornes, who passed away in February after reaching
100 years of age.
Anderson Art Gallery
is the top dealer of Zornes art. The gallery
features fine arts exhibits with a collection of watercolors, oils and
sculptures and mixed media from renown artists Bill Anderson, Raul Anguiano,
Henry Fukuhara, Howard Hitchcock, Milford Zornes and more.
