This is a two-hour walking tour of the Bolsa Chica Mesa and Wetlands conducted by the Bolsa Chica Land Trust. This docent-led tour makes five stops along the walkbridge and loop trails of the wetlands. Meet in the Ecological Reserve parking lot. Sea Cliff Shopping Center is a modern-style strip mall with a grocery store, hardware, shops, boutiques and service stores such as hair, nails, dry cleaners, etc.
The mall was completely torn down to build this new version of what once was an ecology - bird themed mall with a set of murals valued at over $1 million. Dated in its design and dwindling in revenue, the large parcel near City Hall was put on the shopping block and a developer came in with a plan that some chastised, and some liked.
It seems to succeed quite well and Sea Cliff Shopping Center has become the anchor for surrounding homes that have been built.
