Surf City Nights - Street Fair and Farmers Market. Held each Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. this event includes street vendors with crafted items, a farmers market, food vendors and kids entertainment, plus music guests performing along the sidewalks of Main Street. Main Street is closed on this special evening between Pacific Coast Highway and Orange Ave. Parking is available at city lots such as 200 Main St. Location: 200 Main St., Huntington Beach, CA. NSSA Surfing Competition National Air Show Championships June 26-July 3. Location: Huntington Beach Pier, HB, CA. nssa.org

Adventure Playground. Rekindling they days of Huck Finn, children are invited to raft around a mud pond, balance across the rope bridge, build with hammers and saws, splash down the mud slide and have old-fashioned fun. Open: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.  Cost: $3 per child,  adult chaperones are Free.
