PREGNANCY CENTER 4th ANNUAL FUNDRAISING BANQUET INVITES PUBLIC TO ATTEND
The 4th Annual Banquet Celebration benefiting the Horizon Pregnancy Center
is featuring “A Celebration of Life” with award winning talk show host
Warren Duffy as Master of Ceremonies. This event is scheduled for Thursday,
April 30, at the Sea Cliff Country Club, Huntington Beach. The evening
begins with a silent auction at 6:00 p.m. followed by a gourmet dinner and
program ending at 9:00 p.m.
The pregnancy center, located in Huntington Beach, is the only center within
a 20 mile radius, offering crisis pregnancy-related services, education
classes, training programs, and peer-counseling to meet the needs of the
mother, the father and the unborn child. Horizon’s mission is to educate and
empower every person to choose life as an alternative to abortion.
The theme of the 2009 program is twofold, “The Reasons”….why we exist, and
“Options to Images”…the goal of becoming a licensed medical clinic. During
the evening, the leaders of the center will unveil their plans to become a
licensed medical clinic equipped with ultra sound capabilities. With this
equipment available, women contemplating their various pregnancy options
will be provided the opportunity of viewing the infant developing in their
womb.
Master of Ceremonies, Warren Duffy, was for ten years, the popular host of
the afternoon drive time radio program on KKLA-FM “Duffy and Company”. His
program featured well-known ministry, political, and entertainment guests,
as well as, call-ins from loyal listeners. Duffy has been active in pro-life
work since the early 1980’s. “It is an honor to be invited to be a part of
this great celebration. Horizon has laid a strong foundation for the next
chapter of their work. Many centers in America are becoming licensed medical
clinics, and to be able to help Horizon raise the funds to move to this next
level of service is a real honor for me,” Duffy said.
According to Kunica Salazar, director of Horizon Pregnancy Center, only 200
seats are available at a very reasonable cost of $50 per person. Horizon is
also a 501(c) (3), so sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are
