MARATHON STREET CLOSURE NOTICE: The annual Super Bowl Sunday race uses Pacific Coast Highway, Seapoint Street and Edwards Street. Beginning early morning (starting at 1 a.m.), streets on and near the route will begin to be closed with some limited local access provided in some areas. All streets are expected to be completely open by 2 p.m.
1. Pacific Coast Highway is closed from Warner Ave. to Beach Blvd. from 4:15 a.m. - 2 p.m.
2. All of Seapoint Street
3. Golden West Street from Palm Avenue to Pacific Coast Highway
4. Garfield Avenue from Edwards Street to Seapoint Street
5. Edwards Street from Garfield Avenue to just south of Slater Avenue  The FULL Marathon begins at 6:30 a.m. and the Half Marathon begins at 7:45 a.m. All races will start on Pacific Coast Highway at Huntington Street in front of the Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel. The finish line is on PCH about 300 yards north of the start.

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY February 1, 2015 Surf City Marathon, runsurfcity.com  Marathon runners should be parked no later than 5:40 a.m. The first wave will start at 6:30 a.m. Half Marathon runners should be parked no later than 6 a.m. The first wave will start at 7:45 a.m. Please remember that this race will have 20,000+ participants, plus family and friends. There will be traffic. Please plan accordingly.

FREE PARKING:  The state beach lots south of Beach Blvd., including Newland, Magnolia, and Brookhurst are all free on RACE DAY ONLY. These lots will be the FIRST to fill up. Other free areas include much of the street parking between Beach Blvd. and Huntington Street, east of Pacific Coast Highway. Metered parking rates apply in full. NOTE: The state beach lots are NOT free on Friday and Saturday for the Expo, ONLY on Race Day. The cost of these lots are $6.50 for the first 2 hours, and an additional $2 for each hour after.

HB Marathon Expo - Each year on Super Bowl Sunday, thousands of runners and their families come to Huntington Beach to participate in the Surf City  Marathon and Half Marathon.   Expo Hours Sunday, February 1 6:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Location: Huntington City Beach, 21100- 21500 Pacific Coast Highway across from Hilton and Hyatt Hotels.

The Michelob Ultra Beer Garden Beach Party - at the race finish area, right next to PCH. Come on in and have a cold one with the Longboard Crew - Huntington Beach's original surfing club! Your race bib and I.D. (21 and over, please) are good for a couple of freebies. Limit 2 beers per participant.

Volunteer training days: Gain experience, build your resume, make new friends, and help your community by volunteering with the Bolsa Chica Conservancy! Our volunteers are involved in many aspects of the organization, including leading educational tours and community-based habitat restoration projects, interpretive center hosting, and administrative work.
