Huntington Beach Open is the 4th annual "On the Beach" AVP Pro Beach
Volleyball Huntington Beach Open. Sunday, Aug.14 10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
(Main Draw Competition/Women’s Finals- 1:30 pm) The AVP Nissan
Championship Series is underway and the excitement is heating up. Double
points and prize money continue on the third stop of the series with the AVP
Nissan Series Huntington Beach Open presented by Bud Light. Fans will have
the opportunity to experience world-class beach volleyball in a beach-party
atmosphere. Every tournament represents a fiercely pitched competitive
battle amongst the world’s top beach volleyball players in a
lifestyle-charged environment. Events will include Xbox Gaming Oasis;
Paul Mitchell Cut-a-thon; Halls Fruit Breezers "Halls of History Exhibit",
Shoot the Breeze Game and Volleyball Jump Test; Sirius Satellite Radio
Listening Stations; Nature Valley Granola Bars Sampling booth; Wilson
SpeedZone and Guessing Game, Liftoff™ Sampling station, Bud Light Beer
Garden, Nissan Road Ralley, and Nair Smoothing Effects Tent. More than 150
of the top professional beach volleyball athletes including 2004 Olympic
gold medal winners Misty May and Kerri Walsh, 2004 Olympic bronze medal
winners Holly McPeak and Elaine Youngs, and rising AVP star Rachel Wacholder.
On the men’s side, three-time Olympic gold medal winner Karch Kiraly, rising
star Mike Lambert, and 2000 Olympic gold medalists Eric Fonoimoana and Dain
Blanton. The Competition will be broadcast on LIVE ON NBC Saturday, Aug.13

from the stories of Rudyard Kipling, this energetic dramatization of the
classic tale of Mowgli, the man-cub, who was abandoned as a baby in the
jungle and raised by wolves is directed by Robert Michael Conrad. Presented

Competition - The HB Surf Series will hold four of six events at the most
visible surf venue in the world, the famous Southside of Huntington Beach
Pier. Nine divisions comprise the events and include: Super Grom, Boys,
Juniors, Men, Masters, Super Men, Women, Longboard, and Professional. World
class surfers Jeff and Barry Deffenbaugh created this event, providing an
opportunity for surfing in categories for groms, masters and longboard. The
2005 series features six events with a combined cash purse and prize
