July 7 -16, 2006 Play - The Liar. Carlo Goldoni's
classic comedy has never been funnier than this delightful new translation
and adaptation by Sara and Andrew Barnicle. The story centers on Lelio, a
young Venetian incapable of telling the truth. As Lelio spins one outlandish
whopper after another, complications multiply. Before long, Lelio has thrown
the budding romances of two young sisters into turmoil, discredited their
rightful suitors, deceived his own befuddled father, and created an
impossible tangle of misunderstandings. Updated from the Commedia dell'arte
of the Renaissance to the fashionable chic of Venice in the early 1960's,

A-Faire Held weekly on Friday from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) Held
most Fridays at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, a
certified Farmer's Market sells the finest California grown fruits and
vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and perishables. The Art Fair held in
conjunction with the Farmer's Market features over 50 vendors selling

July 7, 2006 Art - Windows Gallery in
Huntington Beach Central Library is holding its annual Member's Co-op Show
of the Huntington Beach Art League. Located on the first floor of the
library, the exhibit features works from amateur and professional artists
with varied themes that range from landscapes to abstracts. This mixed media
exhibit is free to see. Membership to the nonprofit Huntington Beach art
club is open to the public. This special show goes through February 28,
