Expert Talk: "Venomous Snakes and Arachnids of Orange and Los Angeles Counties" When Thu, March 27, 4:00pm – 5:30pm Where Bolsa Chica Conservancy, 3842 Warner Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA. This is a fun and informative talk and discussion on venomous snakes and arachnids! Synopsis: The native venomous snakes and arachnids that call Los Angeles and Orange counties their home play an important role in the natural environment, but are often misunderstood by humans. Expert herpetologist and naturalist Carol Taylor will discuss the various local species, their look-alikes, how venom is created and used by these creatures, as well as debunking the common myths associated with venomous animals. Tsunami Walk - education, city-sponsored event to teach about tsunami disasters. City of Huntington Beach in conjunction with National Tsunami Preparedness Week has created a drill. Residents living within the tsunami evacuation zone are encouraged to participate in the first ever Tsunami Walk at 9 a.m. Meet at Harbour View Park located at the corner of Saybrook Lane and Heil Avenue for a walk to a designated safe zone where additional tsunami education material will be available.

Tsunami Fair: March 27, 2015 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Wieder Park at Blackbeard Ln. and Lago Drive.
