Library Architect Celebrates Central Library’s 40th In honor of its 40 year anniversary, the Huntington Beach Library is pleased to present a visit by architect Dion Neutra, returning to the building he designed 40 years ago. Originally, it was to be Dion and his father, acclaimed modernist Richard Neutra, who designed the facility together, but the untimely passing of Richard in 1970 meant Dion would undertake the project by himself. Dion will share his insights, challenges (of which there were many), and memories of what the Huntington Beach Central Library and Cultural Center was like then, and later. Dion will also be signing copies of his book, “The Neutras – Then & Later”. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:30 A.M.
