Concours d'Elegance in Central Park. Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Dave Kuntz is Grand Marshal. This annual event isn't just the place to be to experience and photograph "beauties", it also is held for a great cause--to help the Children's Library on the grounds of the event. $10 admission, $1 event parking.

Grunion Run - Catch those slippery silversides, tiny fish that spawn on HB Beaches, available for catching (with a California fishing license) on Open Season comprised of just a few days each year. Tonight you may catch them with your bare hands (no nets, buckets or sand traps allowed) only if you hold a fishing license. Expected grunion run time is 10 p.m. -12 a.m. Be responsible and only keep them if you plan to eat them!

Lifeguard Open House June 5, 2016, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Held for the first time ever at Pier Plaza, the lifeguard open house seeks to inform the public about beach safety in Huntington Beach. Demonstrations, information, equipment and lifeguard personnel are on hand to answer your questions. At 2 p.m. there's an in-water demonstration you must see.

Swap Meet at Golden West College. Time: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Held on the campus of Golden West College, free parking, free admission.
