AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament. Association of
Volleyball Professionals is a US Tour of top volleyball players in US. On
the beach sand volleyball play makes for an exciting, outdoor game and
venue. Other stops on the tour may include Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach,
Long Beach and San Francisco (check avp.com for updates.) Vendors will
sell everything from volleyballs to sporting goods and clothing. Often there
are free handouts, and celebrity volleyball autograph opportunities.
Location: South Side of Huntington Beach Pier at Main Street and Pacific

Pontipee brothers live a rough, lonely existence when Adam, the eldest of
seven brothers, rides into town one day to pick up some supplies and also
picks up a headstrong bride! Millie valiantly attempts to civilize the
brothers so that they can find brides of their own. But Millie’s plan
backfires when the brothers decide to snatch six women to be their brides!

A-Faire Held weekly on Friday
from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) Held most Fridays at the outdoor Pier
Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, a certified Farmer's Market sells
the finest California grown fruits and vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and
perishables. The Art Fair held in conjunction with the Farmer's Market
features over 50 vendors selling unique, hand made gifts and crafts. Call:

May 2, 2008 Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious
are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West
Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy
even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast
Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy
300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on
the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

- The public is invited to get out and compete in this exciting sport that's
