October 24, 2009   Oktoberfest at Old World Village. German bands, dancing and tasty German foods, plus a variety of German and assorted beers on tap are sold. Mixed drinks and liqueurs in shot glasses sold by "shot girls" wearing dirndl skirts make this event mostly beach-sexy. Unlike the more traditional Oktoberfests in Southern California, HB Fest takes on a Mardi Gras flair come Friday and Saturday night.  Cover: $10 (approx. October 24, 2009 Distance Runners Derby. The 55th annual running derby begins at the Huntington Beach Pier. The 10-mile and 5-mile runs will start at 7:00 AM. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age category for men and women competitors (20 years and up). Youth (19 and under) will also receive awards for the top three finishers in a 5-mile
