Bent on revenge for the cruel loss of his leg during a battle with a notoriously menacing white whale, Ahab will stop at nothing in his quest for a moment of reckoning with his hated nemesis. Endowing Moby Dick with brutal, malignant, and evil intentions, Ahab pursues the legendary leviathan across whole oceans until, at long last, these two forces of nature collide in the emptiness of the vast Pacific. March 30, 2013  Easter Egg Hunt - Popular annual event attracts an estimated 5,000 attendees annually. It has grown to include a day-long festival, and is moving to a new location in Central Park Time 9 a.m. Egg Hunt is staged in age groups. All day celebration will be held this year at Central Park Sports Complex, NOT the old park location! Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to visit Bolsa Chica Ecological Preserve, a significant flyway for migrating birds. Binoculars recommended. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. 1.5 mile loop trail and 300 acres of protected wetlands!  Pets and bicycles are not permitted on the trails. Beach Bonfire - Free first come, first serve fire rings offer a chance to have an outdoor cooked meal. Bring your own wood. The rings are located on Huntington City Beach south of the HB Pier, at Huntington State Beach (PCH & Beach Blvd. entrance), and Bolsa Chica State Beach (PCH between Warner & Seapoint). Hours: open 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. All beaches charge parking fees (around $15) but there also is some street coin meter parking near City Beach at Beach Blvd. and Pacific Coast Highway.
