Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley’s CLUBHOUSE THEATRE PROGRAM TO HOLD OPEN AUDITIONS

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley’s award-winning ClubHouse Theatre program will hold open auditions for beginning and intermediate actors ages 8 and up for summer productions of The Music Man. The Music Man is an award-winning Broadway classic with quirky characters, unpredictable situations and one-of-a-kind nostalgic scores of rousing marches, barbershop quartets and sentimental ballads. Youth will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a musical theater production from acting to set building in a fun and supportive environment. All children who audition will have the opportunity to participate in the show. Children will be placed in one of four casts based on auditions.

Auditions: 5:00-8:00 pm Monday, April 12, 2010 Location: Boys & Girls Club’s Kingston Branch: 16582 Brookhurst Street, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, Phone: 714-531-2582. Rehearsals (Dependent on casting): Cast 1 - Tuesdays 5:00-6:30, Cast 2 - Tuesdays 6:30-8:00, Cast 3 - Wednesdays 5:00-6:30, Cast 4 - Wednesdays 6:30-8:00. Tech Week and Performances: July 26 – August 7, 2010. Participation fee is $200 and covers rehearsals, major costume pieces, script, music CD, dance instruction, voice lesions, t-shirt, cast party, and 10 tickets to the show.
