City Reconsider surrounds the themes of artists who examined the City of
Huntington Beach's history, then reconsidered or re-thought aspects that
have come into existence and how they might appear such as transportation,
planning of public and private spaces, and economic resource distribution.
Featured artists for this
Centennial-themed exhibit
include: LAC, Luisa Cohrs, Mary
Dessert, Anna Friesen, Trang Le,
and Robin Repp. Tasked with the
assignment of engaging, enraging
and entertaining the local
audience and tourists to Surf
City, the artists promise to
uplift and make citizens think.
This contemporary exhibition
uses
Huntington Beach Art Center
as an incubator for creativity,
and is envisioned as an
experiment that utilizes
the previous Ebb & Flow
exhibition to examine the City
of Huntington Beach in
historical perspectives.
