Al Seton,
Watercolor/Acrylic Large Format
Artist
Demonstrates Wednesday, June 3,
2009
California's joyful, energetic,
yet laid-back ambiance,
reminiscent of Al Seton's
Mediterranean roots, offers the
audience something quite
delightful. Seton received
his formal education at Cairo
University, at University of
Santa Clara and at the
California Art Institute.
Workshops have included: Robert
E. Wood, Charles Reid, Katherine
Chang Liu, Christopher Schink,
Henry Fukuhara and many others."
Watercolor and/or acrylic on
paper in a relatively large
format enhances the emotional
response to things that engage
this artist such as people and
the outdoors. Bright energetic
relationships of shapes, color
harmonies, high contrast and
calligraphy are characteristic
of Seton's recent works.
Bring your art work to the
meeting by 7:15 to have it
judged by Al Seton. There are
ribbon prizes in seven media
categories plus Best of Show and
the Masters Category.
The Rodgers Senior Center is
located in the center of
Huntington Beach on the corner
of 17th and Orange Streets.
There is parking behind the
center.
