Longboard Crew Paddle Feb. 6, 2010
Huntington Beach Longboard Crew Pier Paddle has changed, and won't host its
event on a Sunday, beginning in 2010. Why? To better align with the Surf CityUSAMarathon which has become one of the Longboard Crew's partners in this event.
The change will allow marathon
runners to compete in both running and paddling. Special awards are planned
for any participants who accomplish that feat. For further information and
to inquire about loaner boards please email info@hblongboardcrew.org
The race is open to all ages with one open division.
First through sixth
place finishers will be awarded. All participants should use a standard
surfboard for the race. No racing type paddle boards will be allowed. Boards
need to be less than twelve feet as a maximum. The race starts at 10am
sharp. Entries will be accepted on a first come-first served basis to 100
maximum starting at 9am on the beach. The Huntington Beach Longboard Crew
suggests a $5.00 donation unless your club dues are paid up for 2010.
The next day is February 7, 2010 which is Superbowl Sunday and the Surf City USA Marathon which will start at 6:30am.
Please join us for all the race starts.
The after-party for the marathon will start early at the beer garden which
will be hosted by the Huntington Beach Longboard Crew.
