Taste of New Zealand 2nd Annual Huntington Beach Event
September 20-21, 2008


HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, – City of Huntington Beach and sister city Waitakere, New Zealand will host the Second Annual Taste of New Zealand. The Second Annual Taste of New Zealand will feature New Zealand culture with food samples, Iron “Kiwi” Chef live show, Maori
(natives of New Zealand) dance performers, wine tasting, fashion show, featured artist conducting a live wood carving demonstration, and much more.

 

Top chefs from New Zealand will prepare lamb, seafood and more on Main Street from a mobile hangi (Maori traditional earth oven), and grills. New Zealand rugby teams will play “Sevens” on the beach, north of the pier. Several of the downtown Huntington Beach restaurants will offer New Zealand food and drink specials.

 

Partners of the event include Fisher & Paykel, the Huntington Beach Downtown Business Improvement District, and Navigator Tours. This event is open to the public.
