Huntington Beach is a Tree City USA. The National Arbor Day Foundation established the standards for Tree City USA to ensure that every community would have a sustainable tree management plan and program.

Tree City USA is a membership program from an organization that encourages and promotes growing trees in your city. Huntington Beach has been a Tree City USA since the turn of the millennium. It became a Tree City circa 2001-2002 and has been a Tree City for more than a decade.
