Huntington Beach Plein Air Painting Festival
The Huntington Beach Plein Air Painting Festival is sponsored by the Huntington Beach Art Center. The Art Festival is a juried event bring exceptionally fine Plein Air artists in the tradition of the Laguna Colony painters of 100 years ago. Workshops will be held with Jerry Owens, Diana Lo SChiavo and Milford Zornes during the event. The festival will culminate with an exhibition of fine art at the Huntington Beach Art Center with a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception on September 24. The foal of the Art Festival is to celebrate the natural beauty of Huntington Beach and to raise funds through sales of artwork to benefit the art center's education and exhibition programs. Paintings will be judged and cash prizes will be awarded to winning artists.
