I took this photo at the Surf City Festival at Huntington Beach mall. It was one of the last performances of Jan Berry (singing) and Dean Torrence (right). Dean Torrence returns to the very same mall (now called Bella Terra,) to sign his latest book on Oct. 26, 2016.

Wednesday, October 26, 2016, 7 p.m. Author Event with Surf Music Icon, Dean Torrence presenting his new book, Surf City: The Jan and Dean Story. Musician, composer and artist, Dean Torrence discusses and signs his new book. At the height of their career Jan & Dean had sixteen Top 40 hits, a total of twenty-six chart records, and they hosted and performed at the historic T.A.M.I. Show. They won six gold records, one Grammy plus numerous nominations, and appeared seventeen times on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand.
