SEPTEMBER 2005 EVENTS

 

Huntington Beach Oktoberfest is an annual tradition. German bands, dancing, drinking, kids festivals, adult nights, dachshund races, sauerkraut, sausages and fun are in store for those seeking an ethnic event held in a big Bier Hall.  In Germany Oktoberfest has been held for over a century and Huntington Beach enjoys carrying this unique tradition to the cobbled streets and sidewalks of Bavarian village Old World Village. The event is held at Old World German Restaurant.  The basic schedule is Monday and Tuesday the event is dark (no event). Wednesday and Thursday you can bring the kids. Friday and Saturday night you must leave the children at home. Sundays are family days. If you wear a dirndl skirt or lederhosen on that day, you get in free. See the full schedule.

 

Oktoberfest at Old World Village. Get out your lederhosen and learn the Chicken Dance at Oktoberfest in Huntington Beach. The event includes entertainment with German bands, dancing and tasty German foods. A variety of German and assorted beers on tap are sold as well as mixed drinks and liqueurs in shot glasses sold by "shot girls" wearing dirndl skirts.
