April 3, 2005 - Surfing competition - Billabong Surfrat
Series travels to eight cities, including Huntington Beach. Free entry and
lots of prizes for two categories, 16 & under, 13 & under. The Billabong
Surf Rat Series has grown to eight surf contests in 2005, and gives a major
boost to the younger competitive surfers in their journey from groms to
pros. Three events are held on the East Coast, with five in Californian
waters. Entry is free for all Surf Rat Series events, and is limited to 64
entries. Every entrant gets a free T-shirt from Billabong and all finalists
win great prizes from Billabong, Von Zipper, Element, DVS, Monster Energy
Drink, and Transworld Surf Mag. There are two age divisions; 16 and under,
and 13 and under. Entrants may only surf in one division. The 2 winners of
each contest meet for a “Super Final", where the 2005 Surfrat Series
Champions are determined. The Series Champs both receive an all expenses
paid trip to Tavarua Island. Sign up on the beach starting at 7a.m. Entries

April 3, 2005 Old World Slovakian Cultural Festival
with Folklore Group Liptov - Costumes, choreography and cultural music in
the outstanding show from a world-touring group that entertains with
energy, color and beauty from the town of Ruzomberok in northern Slovakia.
If you are looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon, the
entertainment is not your usual beach event. Held in the Old World Festival
