October 7, 2005 Farmer's Market and Art A-Faire Held weekly on Friday from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) Held most Fridays at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, a certified Farmer's Market sells the finest California grown fruits and vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and perishables. October 7, 2005 Oktoberfest at Old World Village Restaurant - Get out your lederhosen and learn the Chicken Dance at Oktoberfest in Huntington Beach. The annual event includes German bands, dancing and tasty German foods from bratwürst with potato salad to apple strudel. Oktoberfest offers family fun days and adults only nights. October 7, 2005 - Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships hosted by Surfing America for ages Juniors (Under 18, Under 16, Girls Under 18) Team arrival and registration, Media Accreditation and Level 1 Judging Seminar . Event is held Oct. 8 - 16 in Huntington Beach. International Surfing Association (ISA) in Olympic Games format with participants representing countries. Medals are awarded to the top four finalists. Location: Huntington Beach City Beach near the Huntington Beach Pier at Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street, Huntington Beach. Free to watch. The Hilton Waterfront Beach Hotelwill serve as Event Headquarters with all event announcements posted there and at the contest site on the beach.
