December 9,  2007 Huntington Harbour Boat Parade. This is an annual event held in conjunction with Cruise of Lights.  A parade begins near Warner Avenue and heads south, making its way through the channels of Huntington Harbour. The Huntington Beach islands are closed to car traffic during this event so parking is extremely limited.  Time: 5 to 8 p.m. Location: Warner Avenue near Pacific Coast Highway. December 9, 2007   Golden West College Swap Meet in the Golden West College parking lot includes New & Used Items, Fresh Produce, Records, Music Memorabilia, Antiques & Collectibles and much more! December 9, 2007  Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail.  No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

 

December 9, 2007  The Nutcracker Ballet. Presented by the Ballet Repertory Theatre, this traditional, delightful Christmas Ballet is presented in its original, full-length version for your holiday enjoyment. Location: Mainstage Theater. December 9, 2007 Art Exhibit - Huntington Beach artist Howard Hitchcock is featured in Transitions, premiering new paintings and sculptures. Known for his futuristic visions, Hitchcock has been recognized as a leader in the art world. His work will be on display at Anderson Art Gallery through December 30. December 9, 2007  Snowflakes light up the Huntington Beach Pier and Main Street through New Year's Day. Dozens of artificial snowflakes strewn with twinkling lights adorn light downtown Huntington Beach. They are a delight to see. There are on the pier and stretch along Main Street from Pacific Coast Highway to Orange Avenue. Traditionally placed along Main Street and the Huntington Beach Pier, they are truly beautiful displays of holiday spirit in Huntington Beach.
