Huntington Beach celebrates the 11th anniversary of Orange County's
premier beachfront marathon. Events include a half marathon, a wheelchair
half marathon, 5K and kids runs. A two-day Active Lifestyle Expo (located at
the
Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort)
includes health and fitness vendors, exhibitors, community and charities
events. The tailgate party on Sunday includes Beer Garden and live
entertainment. The Pacific Shoreline Marathon start and finish line is
located just north of the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Pacific Coast
Highway across the street from the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and
Spa. Time: Noon to 7 p.m. Cost: free to watch, fee to run.

Farmer's Market and Art A-Faire Held weekly on Friday
from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) Held most Fridays at the outdoor Pier
Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, a certified Farmer's Market sells
the finest California grown fruits and vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and
perishables. The Art Fair held in conjunction with the Farmer's Market
features over 50 vendors selling unique, hand made gifts and crafts. Call:

curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Preserve, one of
the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars
to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific
Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway.
Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes
permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
