Mondays in Huntington Beach don't have to be hum drum. For kids there are a number of activities to enjoy with you relatives, friends, moms & dads. The Central Library Childrens wing is always open on Mondays, but in addition, you can enjoy pajama story hours, Kids Club at the mall, and over 57 parks.

Frisbee Disc Golf is always a great outdoor activities and it's cheap. When you finish playing, stroll down the hill to Shipley Nature Center for a nature walk in the wooded forests (including a redwood grove). This is free to enjoy. For art lovers, there is a gallery at the Central Library, art exhibit at the Huntington Beach Art Center and art exhibit at Golden West College art gallery.

Night life is always on tap at Perqs, Hurricanes, Martini Blues, Tumbleweeds, Gallaghers and Surf City Saloon. Get out and explore one of the top 10 cities to live in or visit. Whether young, old or in between, the activities and events never end in Huntington Beach, Calfiornia!

October 15, 2007 Kids Club - Bella Terra Mall offers activities for parents with young children. Open to local HB residents and Huntington Beach vacation guests. This event for kids includes story-telling, jugglers and musicians. Located in the Italian-themed courtyard of a shopping mall, Bella Terra shops and boutiques abound, but there is also a movie theater and many restaurants to enjoy. October 15, 2007 Art - Windows Gallery in Huntington Beach Central Library on the first floor features works from amateur and professional artists with varied themes that range from landscapes to abstracts. This mixed media exhibit is free to see. Location: 7111 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach, CA.

October 15, 2007 Surf Sounds - Surf Sounds Part 2: Featuring Jan & Dean is the latest exhibit from the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum. Did you know that Dean Torrence lives in Huntington Beach and continues to perform his hit songs at concerts around the globe? Did you also know that one of Jan & Dean's final concerts before Jan Berry passed away was held at the Huntington Beach Mall (now Bella Terra)? October 15, 2007 - Art. On Location exhibit at Golden West College Fine Arts Gallery features contemporary rural and urban paintings of Darlene Campbell, Barrie Mottishaw, David Hines, Kathryn Phillips, Gregory Martin, Suong Yangchareon; Remembering James Fee: Peleliu. The late James Fee’s work last appeared in the Golden West College Fine Art Gallery in the fall of 2001, in the exhibit James Fee Peleliu Project. The Peleliu Project featured photographs by James Fee and photographs by and from the Archives of his father Russell Fee (b.1924, d.1972). James Fee’s father had been in the battle of Peleliu in the Philippines during World War II. The project was James Fee’s personal quest to retrace the steps of his late father. Photographs features in the exhibition are a tribute to James Fee’s memory. Runs through October 19, 2007.
