October 6, 2007 Walk fundraiser - NAMIWalks for the Mind of
America, 3rd annual Orange County 5K at the Huntington Beach Pier. The
NAMIWalks for the Mind of America is a nationwide fundraising and mental
health awareness program that is being held this year in over 70 communities
around the country, including Huntington Beach, CA. NAMI (National Alliance
on Mental Illness) provides mental health services to thousands of families
across the country. All the proceeds from this Walk will be used to fund
NAMI’s programs here in Orange County . These programs include support,
education, research and advocacy involving schizophrenia, bipolar disorder
(manic depression), major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and
severe anxiety disorders. Our goal is to raise $175,000.00.There is no
registration fee for the Walk. All participants are encouraged to collect
donations. To sign up on-line as a team, walker or make a donation, go to

Saturday Car Cruisers known as the Donuts Derelicts share Hot Rods, Street
Cars, Woodies, Imports and a variety of restored vehicles at Adams and
Magnolia Ave. Parking is available in the Ace parking lot or Adams Avenue
Donut Shop with overflow parking extending to Drug Emporium lot across

Walter Trout Band, is a lively, casual bar that once served as a brothel in
Huntington Beach. Today it is just a bar, and is grandfathered as the

Part 1: Featuring the Beach Boys
is the latest exhibit from the Huntington Beach International Surfing
Museum. Did you know The Beach Boys were first
called The Pendletons, for their woolen jackets they eventually shed?
Record covers, tickets, stage passes, karaoke sing-alongs and memorabilia
from a global phenomenon are showcased in this unique, fun exhibit.

World Village. Get out your lederhosen and learn the
Chicken Dance at Oktoberfest in Huntington Beach. The event includes

October 6, 2007 Amigos de Bolsa Chica Tours - The Amigos de Bolsa
Chica offers free public tours of the Bolsa Chica wetlands in Huntington
Beach. Meet on the bridge at the parking lot on PCH and take a 1.5 mile
guided walk at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. The guides will point out
the common plants, animals and birds, discuss wetlands conservation,
endangered species and related topics. Time: 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Location:
