April 15, 2008 Surf City Nights - SCN is a Locals (and
Tourists') Night to get out and experience downtown Huntington Beach. An
exciting line-up for Surf city Nights includes three brand-new acts. Shakeh
(shakeh.com) is a very talented singer/songwriter; Joe Philips (foulowlproductions.com)
is a full service dj who will rock Main St; and Sway(swaymusic.com) is a
local country band that will perform the second half of the event. There's
a street closure, Farmer's Market and Craft Fair plus free live
entertainment and 2 hours free parking in City-owned garage at Pier
Promenade, 200 Main Street, Huntington Beach, CA. Time: 5 to 9 p.m. Cost:

and families can take a personal gondola tour.
April 15, 2008 Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the
curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of
the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars
to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific
Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway.
Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes
permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

- The public is invited to get out and compete in this exciting sport that's
