the Crown

Miss Huntington Beach
Scholarship Pageant brings together the community to watch
11 contestants compete for title of Miss Huntington Beach. Talent, beauty
and intelligence are the attributes judges consider when choosing who will
be number one. The Pageant is produced by Women of
Action, a division of the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce. Contestants
Amber Palm, Samantha Renee Gallo, Cayce
Crowder, Deborah Schult, Caitlyn Baecker, Stephanie Chiang, Lauren
Guitran , Arroya Karian, Erica Lorraine Frazier, Jessica Tran and Lauren Kay
Butler prepare for the event which qualifies one winner to move into the
Miss California competition.

Anyone can place their live “online vote” for their favorite contestant who
will be announced March 1. The Pageant will also feature raffle prizes,
among which will be a signed guitar by Dean Torrance of “Jan & Dean” fame
and a special going away message from Erin Nicole Brit, Miss Huntington

Amateur League Play - The public is invited to get out and compete in this
exciting sport that's relaxing and easy to learn. In weekly league play,
competitors are assigned a handicap. Location: Huntington Beach Disc Golf

Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to
drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's
significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even
closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway
between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300
acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on the
trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

features works from amateur and professional artists with varied themes that
range from landscapes to abstracts. This mixed media exhibit is free to see.

Saturday Car Cruisers known as the Donuts Derelicts share Hot Rods, Street
Cars, Woodies, Imports and a variety of restored vehicles at Adams and
Magnolia Ave. Parking is available in the Ace parking lot or Adams Avenue
Donut Shop with overflow parking extending to Drug Emporium lot across
