November 7, 2008 The Last Chinese Chef. The Friends of Huntington Beach Library welcomes author Nicole Mones whose latest book is "The Last Chinese Chef". Nicole ran a textile business in China for 18 years and she weaves her experiences into a romantic plot that includes precepts from ancient Chinese food culture. Cost: $18 for luncheon and lecture. Reservations must be made by November 3rd. Time: Doors open at 11:30 and lunch starts at 12 noon.
