August 10, 2009  Adventure Playground - Adventure Playground Huntington Beach. Located at Central Park, Adventure Playground allows kids to romp, roam, play in the mud, build forts, rafts, and generally get wet and dirty in pure fun that kids simply love. Rafting on a shallow pond, navigating a rope bridge, sliding down a mud slide and fort building with hammers, wood and nails are a few of the activities under adult supervision. Tennis shoes are required, and kids should bring a change of shoes and clothes in a plastic bag or some protected parcel. Showers and changing area are available for an event best suited for kids ages 5 to 12 years. Adventure Playground is open through August 18. Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: $3/ child.
