August 16, 2009 Anniejr., Musical. Plays, concerts and musicals are back at the Huntington Beach High School Theater which has undergone a facelift and is now open. Enjoy Annie, featuring Orange County Children’s Theatre. There will be eight performances of Annie beginning, Friday, August 14 and concluding on Sunday, August 23. Performances are on Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday afternoons at 2:30 p.m.; Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for Annie range in price from $12 to $14 and can be purchased online at occt.org, or at the door. August 16, 2009 Bolsa Chica Wetlands and Mesa Tour. Free tour meets the third Sunday of every month. This is a two-hour walking tour of the Bolsa Chica Mesa and Wetlands conducted by the Bolsa Chica Land Trust. This docent-led tour makes five stops along the walkbridge and loop trails of the wetlands. Meet in the Ecological Reserve parking lot. Warm clothing, comfortable shoes and binoculars are recommended. Time: 10 a.m. to Noon. Cost: Free.
