Restoring Rabbit Island - historic 20-acre dune
habitat at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve is surrounded by coastal salt marsh,
but is infested with non-native iceplant and other invasives.
The restoration is crucial for the health of the
wetlands habitat for threatened and endangered
bird species-- Belding’s Savannah Sparrow, Western Snowy Plover, California
Least Tern, and Clapper Rails. Work gloves and water will be provided. Space
is limited so please be sure to reserve a spot. Volunteers are
limited to individuals who are 15 years old and up.

Art-a-faire Weekend. Pier Plaza Art-A-Faire
includes dozens of vendors selling custom
