Dates & Times:

September 17 - September 18, 2011, starts at 8 a.m.  Held in conjunction with the City of Huntington Beach Annual Surfing Contest.

This inaugural event promises to become a legend of fun and fitness. Surf City Days is a new event created by the Huntington Beach Downtown Business Improvement District that includes beach sports such as beach volleyball, paddleboarding and a board expo, sandcastle contest and more. Get ready for some fall-time fun!

Surf City Days invites all ages to come and participate in the weekend event that includes many things to see and do.  A waterman challenge, marine safety demo, board auction and board expo are just part of not being bored.

How Boardfest AKA Surf City Days came about: The BID first introduced the idea of a  Board Fest  concept event which will be held on weekend of September 17 & 18. They met with City of Huntington Beach Community Services to confirm the dates and make sure the event will compliment the Community Surfing contest, a popular annual event open to residents.  The new "Days" event includes three components; paddle board race, lifeguard challenge and possibly a celebrity surf event. On Main St featured vendors from all types of board;, surf, paddle, skate, snow, etc. Also feature a vintage surfboard auction and surf art.
