December 2, 2004 Surfing - Surfing America will introduce USA
Amateur Surf Team in the City of Huntington Beach, California on December 2,
2004. The new team will include Bethany Hamilton, the 14-year-old surfer
from Hanalei, Hawaii, who was attacked by a shark in October 2003 and lost
her left arm. Public can meet the team members and watch a surf team
practice. Location: Huntington Beach Pier, Pacific Coast Highway at
Main Street. Time: 11 a.m. Cost: Free to watch, just show up!
December 2, 2004 Living Nativity - The Annual Living Nativity features
more than 200 participants who re-enact the spirit Christmas in a
drive-through event that goes from 6 to 9 p.m. through December 3, 2004.

December 2, 2004 Snowflakes light up the Huntington
Beach Pier and Main Street through New Year's Day. Approximately 84
artificial snowflakes strewn with twinkling lights adorn downtown
Huntington Beach. They are a delight to see. There are 48 on the pier and 36
stretching along Main Street from Pacific Coast Highway to Orange Avenue.
Traditionally placed along Main Street with corporate sponsorship plaques
attached to them, funding cuts have changed the procedure this year. To
support the community programs such as Huntington Beach Youth Shelter and
YMCA affiliated with this beautiful beach enhancement in Huntington Beach,
