December 8, 2004   Disc Frisbee Golf Weekly Amateur League Play - The public is invited to get out and compete in this exciting sport that's relaxing and easy to learn. In weekly league play, competitors are assigned a handicap. Location: Huntington Beach Disc Golf Course, Central Park lot off Golden West Street between Talbert and Ellis. December 8, 2004  Snowflakes light up the Huntington Beach Pier and Main Street through New Year's Day. Approximately 84 artificial snowflakes strewn with twinkling lights adorn light downtown Huntington Beach. They are a delight to see. There are 48 on the pier and 36 stretching along Main Street from Pacific Coast Highway to Orange Avenue. Traditionally placed along Main Street with corporate sponsorship plaques attached to them, funding cuts have changed the procedure this year. To support the community programs such as Huntington Beach Youth Shelter and YMCA affiliated with this beautiful beach enhancement in Huntington Beach, you can call (714) 847-9622.
