April 2, 2005    Saturday Car Cruisers known as the Donuts Derelicts share Hot Rods, Street Cars, Woodies, Imports and a variety of restored vehicles at Adams and Magnolia Ave. Parking is available in the Ace parking lot or Adams Avenue Donut Shop with overflow parking extending to Drug Emporium lot across Adams.  Time 6 a.m., over by approx. 8:30 a.m. No phone number available. April 2, 2005   Windows Gallery Huntington Beach Art League Members' Coop Show at Huntington Beach Central Library and Cultural Center features the paintings, photos and mixed media of Debra Ellick and Kathleen Barnes. April 2 , 2005   Celebrity Surfers -  Female surfers will sign autographs from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the day will end with a wetsuit and surfboard raffle at 2 p.m. for the HSS Girl grand opening. Located on 126 Main Street in Huntington Beach, the store features clothing, accessories and shoes from top surf/skate lifestyle brands like Roxy, Volcom, Paul Frank, Hurley and O’Neill. April 2, 2005   Roller Blading Fun Roll - Join the group of roller bladers who meet near the Huntington Beach Pier for a fun roller blade 16-mile round trip at an easy going pace (all levels and ages, plus bicycles welcome) from Huntington Beach to Newport Beach.  Time: 10:30 a.m. Cost: Free. Just show up! 

 

April 2, 2005   Newland House Museum Tour - The historic Newland House features a museum and docent led tours from local historians who provide information about the two-story Victorian home built in 1898. April 2, 2005  Huntington Beach Disc Golf Tournament – The first Saturday of each month, a two-round frisbee golf tournament is held at the Huntington Central Park Disc Golf Course on Golden West Street across the street from the Central Library and HB Sports Complex. All divisions are invited to play, and cash prizes are awarded. Play begins at 10 a.m. Cost is $6 to $15. Call (714) 425-9931.

April 2,  2005    Shipley Nature Center Restoration Days - meets the first Saturday of every month. Time: 9 a.m. to Noon. The Friends of Shipley Nature Center invite the public to participate in planting, weeding and nature related activities the first Saturday of each month. The public is invited to tour Shipley Nature Center grounds at 11 a.m. A docent will be available to answer questions. Shipley Center restoration will feature native plant habitats and water conservation gardens. Location: Huntington Central Park, Central Park Drive off Edwards Avenue.
