December 11, 2005 The Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee's boat parade is a special event! It’s a thank you to Huntington Harbour residents for decorating their homes! If you would like to enter your boat in the parade, please call the HHPC office or Mike Novak at (714) 840-2284. December 11, 2005 Snowflakes light up the Huntington Beach Pier and Main Streetthrough New Year's Day. Approximately 84 artificial snowflakes strewn with twinkling lights adorn light downtown Huntington Beach. They are a delight to see. There are 48 on the pier and 36 stretching along Main Street from Pacific Coast Highway to Orange Avenue. Traditionally placed along Main Street and the Huntington Beach Pier, they are truly beautiful displays of holiday spirit in Huntington Beach. December 11, 2005 Bikes to Baja Fundraiser - Do you have an old bike? The Huntington Beach Longboard Club is accepting donations of old (or new) bikes for children in Mexico. This popular event held in memory of famed surfer Blackie August culminates in a trip to Baja Mexico where the refurbished are given to children without bicycles.
