February 12, 2005 The Great American Race Adventure Run in Huntington Central Park. Join those who love to run in this scenic course with that features a variety of topography and scenery. The course is completely marked and monitored with Mile Markers. All distances are measured to USATF standards and USATF sanctioned. X-country style, grass, dirt and asphalt paths with one hill. Distance: 2.8 Mi. & 4.8 Mi. Cross Country runs. Time: 2.8 Mi. run starts @ 8 a.m. The 4.8 mile run starts at 8:30 a.m. All walkers, including Sweetheart Couples, start at 8:00am. Walkers may only walk the 2.8 mi. course. Age Divisions include: 13-under, 14-17, 18-23, 2 4-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+, M&F. Eagle Runner: M&F, Master & sub-Master. Sweetheart Couples Walk: opposite sex, and is an open division. Must finish together, in consecutive order. Eagle Runner division is for those runners who wish to run both the 2.8 & 4.8 mile race. This is a remarkable feat in itself. Bravo to you adventuress competitors. We will award the three (3) top finishers, Masters and sub-Masters, male and female, with the lowest combined times for both races will receive an additional award. Cost:$15 to $24 per race. Awards include First through third place awards in each running division, both races, men and women. Eagle Runner: First through Third, M&F, in Master & sub-Master divisions. Walkers: Top 10 overall 2.8 Mi. solo finishers. Sweetheart Couples Walk: Top 3 couples, overall, same sex, and must finish in consecutive order. Overall 2.8/4.8 mi. February 12, 2005 Band - Brad Wilson at King Neptune's. Wilson, the singer/songwriter/guitarist's new self-titled solo CD has recently been released. For the last seven years, he fronted the blues rock band, STONE. Brad's music has been featured in John Carpenter's last two films and soundtracks, Vampires and Ghosts Of Mars. His song "Teaser," from Vampires, which BMG Records in Europe released as a single, was not only as the first cut on the soundtrack, but the only song on the record with vocals.
