It’s Christmas Morning, 1933, and everyone in Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks’ household is celebrating the billionaire’s adoption of Annie, an orphan who charmed her way into his heart. However, their celebration is short-lived when New York Child Welfare Commissioner Harriet Doyle arrives. The commissioner declares that New York law does not allow a single man to adopt a child.
