    January 28, 2006 Surfing - National Scholastic Surfing Association NSSA 2005/2006 Southwest Conference Explorer Season competition. Contest 7 in this series is an A rated 2-day event from January 28 to 29. It will be held at San Fernando Street in San Diego. It is open to (age as of 1/1/06) mens 18 and up; juniors 15 to 17 years; boys 13 to 14 years old; menehuene 12 and under; longboard all ages; masters 24 to 34 years; seniors 35 to 44; super seniors 45 and up; girls 14 and under; womens all ages. You are free to wander the trails, view renovation progress, and spot birds, turtles and other wildlife.     January 28, 2006 Art - Windows Gallery in Huntington Beach Central Library is holding its annual Member's Co-op Show of the Huntington Beach Art League. Located on the first floor of the library, the exhibit features works from amateur and professional artists with varied themes that range from landscapes to abstracts. This mixed media exhibit is free to see. Membership to the nonprofit Huntington Beach art club is open to the public. This special show goes through February 28, 2006.     January 28, 2006 Grand Night for Singing - This Musical Revue in 2 acts with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II first opened the Broadway season in 1994 with tremendous response. Over three decades after Rogers & Hammerstein collaborated on the The Sound Of Music, A Grand Night for Singing gained wildly enthusiastic reviews. Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Shall We Dance?" performed as a comic pas de deux for a towering beauty and her diminutive admirer throws a hilarious spin on the original stage presentation of this and other songs from two of the most prolific songwriters on the American musical scene.
