Disc Frisbee Golf Weekly Amateur
League Play - The public is invited to get out and compete in this exciting
sport that's relaxing and easy to learn. In weekly league play, competitors

September 13, 2006 Surf Exhibit - Note: Please call the
Surf Museum if you are interested in going there. Its hours of operation
have changed. Surfin' - Direction of a
Sport, documents the development of fins in a rare collection that not only
shows the original invention, but its numerous size and shape modifications
through a 71-year period beginning in 1935. Huntington Beach
International Surfing Museum Hours: 12pm (Noon) to 5pm Monday through
Friday; 11am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. Suggested donation: $2/adult,

September 13, 2006 Mystery Writers - Lecture sponsored by Friend of
the Library. Huntington Beach Friends of the Library are hosting three
mystery writers. Author Jerrilyn Farmer ‘s eighth book, “The Flaming Luau of
Death,” was released this year. Cara Black’s next book, “Murder on the Ile
Saint-Louis,” is scheduled for release in March 2007. Harley Jane Kozak’s
third novel, “Dead Ex,” is ready to print. Time: lunch at noon
followed by the authors’ lectures and book signings. Cost is $15 per
person. Reservation forms and checks, payable to FOTL, must be received by
Saturday, Sept. 9. They can be mailed or dropped off at the Central Library,

auction as a fundraising event for the
