February 9, 2007  Farmer's Market and Art A-Faire Held weekly on Friday  from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) Held most Fridays at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, a certified Farmer's Market sells the finest California grown fruits and vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and perishables. February 9, 2007  Art - Windows Gallery in Huntington Beach Central Library on the first floor features works from amateur and professional artists with varied themes that range from landscapes to abstracts. February 9, 2007  Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Preserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail.  No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Photos

February 9, 2007 Shipley Nature Center - Open to the public, it includes an interpretive center with educational exhibits, nature trails for wildlife viewing and native gardens. Photos

February 9, 2007  Valentine's Gondola cruise in Huntington Beach from the Sunset Gondola. Location: Peter's Landing and Marina, Huntington Beach (Pacific Coast Highway @ Anderson). You can dine at Captain Jack's in Sunset Beach and schedule pick-up from restaurant. Cost: $75 approx.
