September 29, 2007  Saturday Car Cruisers known as the Donuts Derelicts share Hot Rods, Street Cars, Woodies, Imports and a variety of restored vehicles at Adams and Magnolia Ave. Parking is available in the Ace parking lot or Adams Avenue Donut Shop with overflow parking extending to Drug Emporium lot across Adams.  Time 6 a.m., over by approx. 8:30 a.m. No phone number available. September 29, 2007 5K Run - Huntington Beach Surf'n Sand 5 K Run.  A scenic evening run along the beautiful Surf City coastline. This flat, fast 5K run is great for people of all ages. Come to race or come to cruise & you will be sure to have a great time on the sand. Course: Start and Finish at the pier. Out and back course with one turn around near Huntington Beach Cliffs. Race Timing: Computerized race results provided by PRIMETIME. Awards: Custom medals to the top three finishers in each age division and uniquely designed race T-shirts for all participants. September 29, 2007 Coloring Contest for Nutcracker Ballet program.  is a uniquely-choreographed full length version of the Nutcracker Ballet to be held on December 15. A coloring contest open to K-12 . Coast City Ballet. For entries to qualify all information must be filled. September 29, 2007   Surf Sound - Surf Sounds Part 1: Featuring the Beach Boys is the latest exhibit from the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum.  Did you know The Beach Boys were first called The Pendletons, for their woolen jackets they eventually shed?  Record covers, tickets, stage passes, karaoke sing-alongs and memorabilia from a global phenomenon are showcased in this unique, fun exhibit.  Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum is open from 12pm (Noon) to 5pm daily.  Suggested donation is $2/adult and $1/student. September 29, 2007   Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail.  No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
