February 3, 2008 Pier Paddle - Annual HB Longboard Crew event, Huntington Beach
Longboard Crew’s 22nd Annual Pier Paddle Race will be held on Super Bowl
Sunday.
Sign-up is
on the beach beginning at 7:30am at the Southside of the Huntington Beach
pier by the edge of the water.
There's a $5 donation
to the crew for non-members to enter the race. First through sixth place

this year from New Year's Day to Super Bowl Sunday. While the Super Bowl
will be held at University of Phoenix Stadium - Glendale, Arizona and will
be viewed by an estimated one billion people worldwide, at least a few
individuals will be taking a ride on a board in HB. Cost: $5 donation

Streets closed on Edwards, Garfield, Seapoint and Part of Pacific Coast
Highway.
February 1, 2008 - Superbowl Marathon Madness. Marathon is sold
but there will be expos for the public and tourists to enjoy. Additional
hotel options for your visit may include nearby:
Best Western Harbor Inn (located near south end of marathon route on PCH
near Warner); and
EconoLodge also on Coast Highway in Sunset Beach, CA.

Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K Run/Walk. Join Southern California 's greatest Super Bowl
Celebration! Now in its 30th year, the Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday
10K/5K Run/Walk celebrates the biggest day in sports and Redondo Beach: the Pacific Ocean, the Redondo
Beach Historic Pier and the Marina in King Harbor. Categories include 10K Run, 5K
Run/Walk or Baby Buggy 10K. There will also be a costume contest plus a 2-day Health & Fitness
Expo, Presented by Clif Bar. All runners receive a custom 30th Anniversary Shirt;
Custom awards will be presented to the top three male & female finishers in
each category; Asahi Beer Garden, 2 beers per person 21 and over (while
supplies last); Live music. Race packet pick up--You can pick up your race
packet, T-shirt and bib number on Saturday, February 2 from 10:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. or Sunday, February 3 starting at 6:00 a.m. at the Health &
Fitness Expo located in the Seaside Lagoon adjacent to the Start Line. Cost: $25 entry until Jan. 21, 2008, $30 entry after Jan. 21,
