February 7, 2008 Valentine Romance Authors' Tea - The Huntington Beach Friends of the Library annual Valentine Romance Authors' Tea features three authors. Loraine Despres' latest "The Bad Behavior of Belle Cantrell" is witty, wild, and wise. Mary Castillo gives her romance novels an original voice with a Latin flair. Mary's latest is "Switchcraft". Donna Bevans draws on her professional career of psychotherapy in "Whatever It Takes", a mystery about Psychologist Dr. Elizabeth Wing. The doors will open and 1:30 and tea will be served at 2 pm. followed by the authors' lectures. Cost: $20/person, RSVP required; fee must be received by February 4th. February 7, 2008 Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
