CALIFORNIA COASTAL CLEAN-UP DAY Bolsa Chica State Beach California Coastal Clean-up Day from 9 a.m. to Noon. Join your community in helping to keep our beaches clean! The Guinness World Record book has hailed the California Coastal Cleanup as the “largest garbage collection” (1993). This is a perfect event for families, scout troops, school groups, community organizations, and for individuals who want to make a positive difference. Parking is free for all who participate. Please let the entrance booth worker know that you are there for the Coastal Clean-up. Once inside the beach, go to the headquarters building in order to sign a waiver form and pick up your supplies. It is a good idea to bring sunscreen, a hat and walking shoes. Volunteers are encouraged to reduce the environmental footprint of the Cleanup. Please join our efforts this year by participating in the "Bring Your Own" philosophy and bringing your own grocery/retail plastic bags (for reuse), gloves, bucket and/or reusable water bottle to make this event as ZERO WASTE as possible.
