February 16, 2015 President's Day Celebration - at the Newland House Museum. In honor of George Washington's birthday and President's Day the Historical Society hosts a day of fun. Living history encampment, tours of the Newland House, historical demonstrations by Revolutionary War reenactors (including a visit from George Washington and other presidents), plus Pulitzer Prize-nominated author Craig MacDonald speaks about the Rebel Reverend James Caldwell who lived during the Am.
