Weiner National Dachshund Races. The 12th Annual Dachshund races are
lively entertainment. The public can register their dachshunds to race. The
procedure is to stand at the end of the gated track each dog is placed into
and cajole their pet to run to you. The track is fairly short so the run is

curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of
the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars
to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific
Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway.
Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes
permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All age divisions are determined by the surfer's age at 12:01 a.m.,
1/01/2008. Surfers may compete in the one time, non-member category, but if
they want to continue and enter the other contests along the coast, they
have to pay $70/annual dues for membership. Event cost: WSA Member Entry -
